About the course
Gender Studies at UWA explores how gender and sexuality shape societies, culture, politics and everyday life. The major develops critical perspectives on identity, power and inequality, drawing on humanities and social science approaches. You’ll examine contemporary debates and apply gender analysis to real-world issues across diverse communities. This is an undergraduate major in Arts & Humanities. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles where understanding equity, diversity and inclusion is valued, including policy development, communications, education, community and human services, advocacy, and content creation.
