About the course
UNSW’s Bachelor of Fine Arts / Arts is a four-year double degree that combines intensive studio-based creative practice with a broader Arts education. You’ll develop technical and conceptual skills through making and critical reflection, while building academic breadth across humanities and social sciences. The program supports interdisciplinary pathways and prepares you to work creatively across contexts in a Bachelor degree in fine arts and arts. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue creative and cultural careers that draw on both professional art-making and strong analytical and communication skills. Opportunities may include practising artist roles, community and public arts work, gallery and museum support roles, arts administration, creative production, cultural policy and project coordination. The combined degree also provides a strong base for further study and work across the creative industries in a Bachelor degree in fine arts and arts. Preparing graduates for graduate employment, professional traineeships, and further postgraduate study.
