About the course
Exercise scientists use evidence-based exercise and physical activity programs to improve health, fitness and performance across diverse populations. This degree develops practical and scientific foundations to design, implement and evaluate programs that support general wellbeing, help prevent chronic disease and reduce injury risk, with applications from community health to sport. It is a Bachelor-level qualification in sports science. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
Career outcome
Graduates may work in health, fitness and sport settings where exercise programs support wellbeing and performance. Roles can include exercise scientist, strength and conditioning specialist, allied health assistant, cardiac technologist, fitness instructor/personal trainer, health data analyst, sports administrator, researcher or human factors specialist.
