About the course
This accredited degree combines exercise science with psychological science to explore how physical activity and behaviour influence health and performance. You’ll build scientific knowledge of human movement and the links between health and disease, while studying core psychology concepts and research methods. The course includes practical learning and placements, preparing graduates for sport, exercise and wellbeing settings in a Bachelor-level sports science pathway. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across sport, exercise and wellbeing where understanding both human movement and behaviour is valuable. Career directions may include strength and conditioning support, exercise and performance-related roles, athlete wellbeing and counselling support services, rehabilitation-adjacent work, and opportunities in education settings. With additional postgraduate training, graduates may progress toward psychologist pathways within a Bachelor-level sports science degree.
