About the course
UNE’s Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science explores human movement and the application of exercise science to improve health, fitness and performance and help prevent chronic conditions. You’ll build skills in functional anatomy, biomechanics, exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, assessment and prescription, and sport psychology, with a focus on designing and delivering evidence-based interventions. This is an undergraduate degree in Sports Science. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles applying exercise science in health, fitness and performance settings. Career pathways may include exercise scientist roles, strength and conditioning support, sport and recreation programs, community health promotion, wellbeing and injury-prevention initiatives, and assisting with return-to-activity planning across sporting and clinical environments. This is a Bachelor-level qualification in Sports Science. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
