About the course
The Bachelor of Events Management (Honours) programme prepares graduates to become specialists in planning and executing a range of routine and complex events. It focuses on developing essential knowledge and practical capabilities for working confidently and creatively in multidisciplinary event and meetings environments, supported by industry exposure and real-event participation.
What you might learn
Students develop specialised theoretical knowledge and practical skills to manage diverse events, from concept development through delivery and operations. The programme aims to build competence in event planning, production, risk management and project management, alongside professional development through practical work, field trips, and guided event design activities.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue careers across the events, entertainment and business meetings sectors, including roles in event planning, conferences and conventions, and festival operations. Potential roles include Event Manager, Entertainment Manager, Convention Sales Manager, Conference Organiser, Meeting Planner, Talent Management, Festival Planner and Wedding Planner.
Entry requirements
STPM / A-Levels or equivalent with a minimum of 2 principal passes. UEC with minimum 5 credits. Applicants who possess other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
