About the course
This combined pathway course starts with the Diploma in Esports and transitions into the Bachelor of Communication. You complete the diploma first and receive credit toward the degree, then finish the remaining communication studies including core units, a major, QUT You and complementary studies. It is designed to build academic and practical skills for communication study with an esports focus at bachelor level in media and communication. The programme develops media literacy, content creation, and professional communication skills for digital and corporate environments.
Career outcome
Graduates can apply communication skills in media, digital content and related industries, with knowledge connected to esports and contemporary online communities. The degree structure includes a major alongside broad complementary studies, supporting pathways into roles across communication, content production, marketing, public relations and media organisations, including work linked to esports and gaming contexts.
