About the course
This Honours degree focuses on mechatronic engineering, combining mechanical, electronic and software engineering to design computer-controlled machines and products. You’ll build foundations in mathematics and computing, then progress to multidisciplinary projects, stream core and specialist electives, with an optional specialisation. Industry-linked learning is embedded through professional engagement activities and required work experience. It is an undergraduate Engineering Honours program in mechatronic/mechanical engineering.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for roles developing robotics and autonomous systems, intelligent products and automated manufacturing solutions. Career paths can include robotics or mechatronics engineer, control systems engineer, automation engineer, plant systems engineer, and roles in automotive and advanced manufacturing, as well as software-oriented engineering consultancy.
