About the course
This double major Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) combines civil and mining engineering to help you design, build and manage major infrastructure and resource projects. You’ll study engineering fundamentals alongside specialist knowledge in structures, transport, geotechnics and mining systems, with a focus on practical, industry-relevant skills and professional networks. It is an on-campus undergraduate honours engineering degree at UOW. The programme combines engineering fundamentals, design projects, and industry-ready technical problem-solving skills.
Career outcome
Graduates may work across infrastructure and resources in roles such as civil engineer, mining engineer, construction engineer or project manager. Opportunities span government and private-sector infrastructure delivery, transport and traffic planning, water management, manufacturing, sustainability and community or stakeholder relations for major projects.
