About the course
This civil engineering honours degree prepares you to plan, design, build and maintain essential infrastructure such as buildings, transport networks and water systems. You’ll build practical capabilities in engineering design, project management and sustainability, supported by industry input, dedicated laboratories and visualisation facilities. The program includes a major final-year research project and substantial work experience, leading to a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Engineering – Civil.

Graduates can pursue civil engineering careers across the building and construction sector, engineering consultancies and government agencies, as well as mining and research organisations. Work may involve designing and managing infrastructure projects, coordinating construction activities, applying sustainability principles and supporting asset maintenance and upgrades.
