About the course
This double degree combines secondary teacher education with science study, preparing you to teach Years 7–12. You’ll build curriculum and pedagogy skills in two teaching areas while developing science knowledge, lesson planning and classroom management capabilities. The program includes substantial supervised professional experience in schools and opportunities to learn in varied settings, supporting professional readiness as a Bachelor-level qualification in education and science.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles connected to secondary education and science learning, including secondary school teacher (Years 7–12), private college teacher, tutor, education consultant, or education policy and program support roles. Opportunities may also extend to community education centres, universities, and teaching English overseas. This double bachelor degree supports careers in secondary education with a science specialisation.
