About the course
This double degree combines secondary teacher education with exercise science, preparing you to teach and promote health and fitness in schools. You’ll develop classroom practice alongside knowledge of human movement, anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, motor control and psychology, with a focus on exercise for health, wellbeing and performance. Professional experience builds progressively from observation to planning and leading multiple classes. This is a Bachelor-level program in education and exercise science.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue careers teaching in secondary schools, particularly in physical education and health-related subjects, across Catholic, government and independent settings. The course also supports pathways into education roles in TAFE and vocational education, community education centres, private colleges and special education settings. Registration eligibility as a secondary teacher is supported through an accredited initial teacher education program.
