About the course
This diploma-entry Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) builds on prior early childhood qualifications and experience to help you qualify sooner as a registered teacher. You’ll study contemporary early childhood and early primary (Prep–Year 3) learning, child development, and inclusive practice, with flexible delivery online or at Kelvin Grove. The course includes substantial supervised professional experience placements organised by QUT for real classroom readiness in education and teaching.
Career outcome
Graduates can work as early childhood teachers in early learning centres and kindergartens, and teach in the early years of primary school (Prep to Year 3). The qualification can also support roles in early childhood program planning, learning support, and education leadership pathways as experience grows. Professional placements throughout the degree build practical capability and confidence to work across diverse settings in Australia and, where recognised, internationally in education and teaching.
