About the course
This degree prepares you to become an early childhood teacher working with children from birth to five in early learning settings. You’ll build knowledge of child development and play-based learning, inclusion and child safety, and work with families and communities. The course combines professional practice with contemporary approaches including Indigenous perspectives and sustainability. This is a Bachelor qualification in early childhood education and teaching. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.
Career outcome
Graduates may work as early childhood teachers in long day care, kindergarten and other early childhood education and care services, supporting children’s learning and development from birth to five. Career pathways can also include roles in family and community services, inclusion support, early intervention and program coordination. Opportunities extend across government, not-for-profit and private providers. This is a Bachelor pathway for professional practice in early childhood education and teaching.
