About the course
The Bachelor of Disability and Developmental Education prepares you to support people with disability through a focus on access, equity and inclusion. You’ll develop skills to deliver and influence evidence-based supports, including therapeutic and behaviour support approaches, with practical learning built into the course. Study can be undertaken at Bedford Park with online components and placement/intensive delivery. This is an undergraduate degree in disability and developmental education.
Career outcome
Graduates can work in disability and community services as developmental educators, supporting individuals and families across life stages. Career pathways include roles providing assessments, capacity building, advocacy and support for life transitions, as well as behaviour support practice designing interventions to reduce challenging behaviours. Employment may be found in community agencies, schools and home-based services, often working within multidisciplinary teams. This is a bachelor-level pathway into disability and developmental education roles.
