About the course
The Bachelor of Design builds strong foundations in visual literacy, design research and critical thinking, grounded in design history and contemporary practice. You develop skills in branding, typography, image-making, UX and digital storytelling before specialising in one of three majors. Studio-based learning, industry projects and purpose-built facilities help you build a professional portfolio for careers in visual communication and digital design. The programme develops design, animation, visual storytelling, and digital media production for creative industries.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across creative studios, agencies, in-house teams, cultural organisations and digital product environments. Career pathways include graphic and publication designer, brand/visual identity designer, UX/UI and web/app designer, digital/content or motion storytelling designer, packaging and environmental graphic designer, photographer, art director, design strategist or creative technologist. This Bachelor degree supports entry to broad visual communication and digital design careers.
