About the course
QUT’s Bachelor of Design (Interaction Design) focuses on designing how people engage with technology across devices, apps, websites and immersive experiences. You’ll build a toolkit that combines creative practice and design thinking with hands-on studio learning and opportunities for work experience and global study. Explore areas such as interactive installations, data visualisation, and augmented and virtual reality in a bachelor-level design specialisation. The programme develops design, animation, visual storytelling, and digital media production for creative industries.

Graduates can pursue roles creating user-centred digital and physical experiences across technology and creative industries. Career directions commonly include interaction designer, UX/UI designer, user experience researcher, service designer, digital product designer, and experience designer for web, mobile and emerging platforms such as AR/VR. This bachelor-level qualification prepares you for professional practice in interaction design and related design & technology teams.
