About the course

Deakin’s integrated Bachelor of Design (Architecture)/Master of Architecture builds creative and technical capability for contemporary architectural practice. Across studio-based learning you develop sustainable design thinking, research and analytical skills, and the ability to present and defend proposals to practicing architects. You use industry-relevant digital tools and modelling methods, with access to specialist studios and fabrication workshops, culminating in an advanced final-year capstone in architecture.

Graduates are prepared for professional pathways in architectural practice and the broader built environment. The degree develops skills in conceptual design, documentation, digital modelling and communication, supporting work with architectural firms, design studios, property and development teams, and public or community projects.
