This first-year Data Science stream builds practical capability in working with large datasets and turning them into meaningful insights. You’ll develop foundational skills in data analysis and learn to communicate interpretable results, preparing you to continue into a related Curtin bachelor degree that offers this stream. It is an undergraduate pathway within IT & Computer Science study. The programme builds programming, systems thinking, and data skills for technology-driven industries and startups.

Graduates who continue through a supporting bachelor degree can pursue roles where data-driven decision-making is central, such as data analyst, junior data scientist, business intelligence assistant or analytics consultant.
