About the course

This Data Science major explores how computing, statistics, visualisation and communication combine to turn large datasets into actionable insights. You’ll learn to collate and analyse big data and present results to different audiences, supporting evidence-based decisions in business and government. This is an undergraduate major studied within the double degrees Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Commerce at Curtin. The programme builds programming, systems thinking, and data skills for technology-driven industries and startups.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue analytics and data-driven roles across business, technology and applied sectors. Potential careers include marketing and advertising data analyst, pricing or financial analyst, business intelligence analyst, growth analyst and IT statistician.
