About the course
Explore why crime occurs, how it is defined and perceived, and how justice systems respond. You’ll study causes and impacts of crime (including organised, environmental and digital harms) and build critical analysis skills for complex social issues. The course draws on industry-informed content and offers work-integrated learning opportunities, with flexible study on campus or online. This is an undergraduate bachelor degree in criminology. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across criminal justice and related sectors, applying criminological insight to prevention, policy and community safety. Career pathways may include work in policing and justice agencies, corrections, youth justice, intelligence and security, victim support, research, advocacy, and government or NGO policy roles. Skills are also relevant to roles analysing crime trends and social harm. This is a bachelor-level pathway into criminology-related careers. Preparing graduates for human resources support, community services, and psychology-related graduate pathways.
