About the course
This one-year Honours program extends prior criminology and justice study with advanced theory, critical debate and applied research training. You’ll undertake coursework in qualitative and quantitative methods and complete a substantial independent research dissertation. The degree is designed to build high-level analytical, problem-solving and project management skills to strengthen employability and prepare for postgraduate pathways in criminology and justice. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.

Graduates can pursue advanced roles across criminology and justice settings, using research and analytical skills to inform policy and practice. Career directions include applied crime prevention, corrections, crime analysis, criminal courts, policing, restorative justice, youth justice, and roles in the security industry and sexual violence and abuse response.
