This hands-on degree, delivered in partnership with the University of Canberra, builds a thorough grounding in contemporary music practice. You’ll develop specialised skills across composition, performance, music technology and theory, while collaborating with other creative disciplines on real projects. The course emphasises a holistic, creative and entrepreneurial approach, preparing graduates for a Bachelor-level pathway into contemporary music and the wider creative industries.

Graduates can pursue roles across performance, production and music creation in the contemporary music sector. Typical pathways include working as a musician or composer, producing and recording music, and supporting live or studio projects through sound engineering.
