About the course
The Bachelor of Creative Arts (Visual Arts) at UOW builds your creative practice alongside critical thinking and contemporary visual arts knowledge. You’ll develop innovative, original work and strengthen your ability to communicate ideas through visual media, supported by studio-based learning and industry-informed teaching. This on-campus bachelor degree prepares you to engage with today’s creative industries and cultural sectors. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across the visual arts and creative industries, including practising artist, illustrator, designer, curator, gallery or arts administration, creative director, and freelance creative work. The degree also supports pathways into further study for specialist careers such as art teaching. This bachelor qualification in visual arts provides a foundation for professional practice in creative and cultural organisations. Preparing graduates for graduate employment, professional traineeships, and further postgraduate study.
