About the course
QUT’s Bachelor of Creative Arts (Animation) is a studio-based degree focused on animated storytelling across film, visual effects and games. You’ll develop skills in 2D, 3D and virtual production, using industry tools and facilities while building a strong creative and technical foundation. Flexible study options let you tailor your degree with additional majors, minors and electives in creative practice. The programme develops design, animation, visual storytelling, and digital media production for creative industries.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across animation, screen and interactive media, applying skills in character animation, motion graphics, storyboarding and real-time production. Career directions include animator (2D/3D), character animator, storyboard artist, 3D modeller, motion graphics artist, visual effects artist, or virtual production artist for film, TV, advertising, and game development. This is a Bachelor-level pathway into professional animation and VFX practice. Preparing graduates for graphic design, multimedia production, advertising, and creative studio roles.
