About the course
UNSW’s Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) is an additional year of advanced study following prior computing studies, focused on deepening technical expertise and developing research and project skills. You’ll work closely with academic staff, tackle an in-depth honours project and strengthen analytical and problem‑solving capabilities. This is an undergraduate honours qualification in IT & Computer Science. The programme builds programming, systems thinking, and data skills for technology-driven industries and startups.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles that value advanced computing knowledge and research-informed practice, including software engineer, systems developer, data/AI-focused developer, cybersecurity analyst or technical consultant across tech, finance, government and startups.
