About the course
UOW’s Bachelor of Computer Science (Cyber Security) builds core computing knowledge alongside a dedicated security focus. You’ll develop programming and software design skills and learn how to protect systems, data and networks, with a practical, industry-relevant approach. Study on campus and tailor your degree through the Cyber Security major in an undergraduate computing qualification. The programme builds programming, systems thinking, and data skills for technology-driven industries and startups.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles in cyber and information security across government, consulting and technology organisations. Typical pathways include cybersecurity engineer, security architect, ethical hacker, digital forensics analyst, information security manager or security consultant, applying technical skills to assess risk, secure infrastructure and respond to incidents. These outcomes align with a bachelor-level qualification in cyber security and computer science. Preparing graduates for software development, IT support, data analysis, and technology consultancy entry roles.
