About the course
This honours year develops advanced creative practice and research skills for students from communication and creative arts disciplines. You undertake an individual creative project supported by expert supervision, critical feedback and interdisciplinary learning across areas such as film, design, media and visual arts. The course builds scholarly capability, professional networks and independent practice, providing a focused Bachelor (Honours) pathway in media and creative arts.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles as independent creative practitioners, collaborators in creative teams, or emerging researchers across media, communications and the creative industries. The honours year strengthens critical thinking, project development and research skills valued in government and community arts organisations as well as industry settings. It also supports progression to postgraduate study (coursework or research) in communication and creative arts at Bachelor (Honours) level. Preparing graduates for graduate employment, professional traineeships, and further postgraduate study.
