About the course
The Bachelor of Commerce (pre 2025) is a practical, flexible degree that builds a broad understanding of business and commerce before you specialise. You study core business and economic principles and develop employer-valued skills through applied learning, international case studies and cross-cultural analysis. You then focus your studies through a major in Accounting, Economics or Finance for a strong professional foundation in commerce. The programme introduces business strategy, finance, marketing, and leadership foundations for commercial organisations.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue careers across private industry, government and not-for-profit organisations, using strong analytical and commercial skills. Typical pathways include accounting and auditing, consulting and business analysis, banking and finance roles such as investment banking or mortgage broking, procurement and sourcing management, and economics-related roles (including development economics).
