About the course
This double degree combines the Bachelor of Economics and the Bachelor of Commerce, giving you quantitative and analytical skills alongside strong commercial capability. You’ll study either Economics (Extended Major) or Financial Economics (Extended Major) plus a Commerce major such as Accounting, Business Analytics or Marketing. Practical experience is built in through an internship or industry project, and you can use UWA’s Trading Room technology. This is an undergraduate course in business and economics.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across government, banking, finance and corporate sectors by combining economics expertise with commerce specialisation. Potential pathways include accounting, business and marketing analysis, financial analysis, investment banking, management consulting and economist roles such as central bank economist or senior economist. The broad skill set also supports careers in data-driven commercial strategy. This is career preparation for an undergraduate business and economics double degree.
