About the course
This five-year combined Bachelor of Clinical Science (Medicine) / Doctor of Medicine is an accredited, on-campus program delivered by the School of Rural Medicine. You’ll develop clinical skills from the first weeks, learn through problem-based approaches, and complete extensive placements in hospitals, clinics and communities. Study begins in Orange before transitioning to regional clinical school placements in NSW and northern Victoria for years three to five. This is an undergraduate-to-doctor pathway in Medicine.
Career outcome
Graduates are qualified to commence medical internship in Australia and New Zealand and progress toward general registration after completing the intern year. The course prepares you for work across regional and rural health settings and provides a foundation for specialist training through medical colleges. Career paths include general practice and specialties such as emergency medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and mental health, as well as opportunities in medical research. This is a combined Bachelor-to-MD pathway in Medicine.
