About the course
This four-year degree develops advanced knowledge of how exercise can improve health and wellbeing and help prevent, rehabilitate or manage chronic disease, injury and disability. You’ll build skills to assess clients, prescribe and deliver evidence-based exercise programs, and complete substantial clinical placement experience (514 hours). The course is designed as a professional pathway toward practice in clinical exercise physiology at bachelor level. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates may work as accredited exercise physiologists in hospitals, rehabilitation and chronic disease clinics, community health, sports and performance settings, and private practice. Typical work involves fitness and functional assessment, exercise prescription for clinical populations, and supporting long-term health management and injury recovery.
