About the course
Business Information Systems focuses on how organisations design, implement and manage information systems to improve decision-making and productivity. You’ll study how business information is generated, communicated and stored, and learn to apply technical solutions to business problems. The major also develops project management and communication skills, with a final-year professional practice project working in a team with real clients in an IT & Computer Science undergraduate major.

This major prepares you for roles that bridge business needs and technology delivery across many industries. Typical pathways include business analyst, systems analyst, database administrator, project manager and business consultant. Skills gained in information systems design, management, business intelligence and enterprise architectures support work in IT teams, consulting and digital transformation projects within an IT & Computer Science undergraduate major.
