About the course
QUT’s Bachelor of Business (Honours) (Finance) is a one-year full-time honours program for high-achieving finance graduates to deepen analytical, theoretical and empirical capability. You study contemporary finance issues and work closely with an academic supervisor to integrate prior learning and complete an independent research thesis. The program is designed for immersive study over two semesters in finance at honours level. The programme introduces accounting standards, taxation basics, and financial reporting for professional accreditation pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue advanced roles across banking and financial services, applying strong research and analytical skills to complex finance problems. Typical pathways include banking and finance professional roles, funds and investment management, stockbroking, and finance project work. The honours year also provides a strong foundation for further research study in finance at honours level.
