About the course
This double degree combines business and communication with a focus on community and public relations. You will study both components concurrently, building core business knowledge alongside communication theory and practice, plus QUT You units. The course is structured around business core units and a business major, together with communication core units and a communication major, preparing you for work across organisations and public-facing roles in media and communication at bachelor level.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for roles that connect organisations with communities, stakeholders and the public. Career paths may include public relations and communications officer, community engagement advisor, media relations and publicity specialist, internal communications coordinator, and digital communications or analytics roles. Combined business study supports work in corporate, government and not-for-profit settings, with opportunities in marketing and strategic communication functions at bachelor level in media and communication.
