About the course
Study the Bachelor of Biomedical Science at ACU to build a strong understanding of disease causes, progression, diagnosis, prevention and treatment. You’ll develop practical laboratory skills across core biomedical disciplines including chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, anatomy and physiology, genetics, microbiology and immunology. The degree also offers pathways to specialise via a physiological pharmacology major or a pharmacology minor within biomedical science at bachelor level.
Career outcome
This course supports careers in biomedical and health-related research and industry settings. Graduates may work as research or pharmaceutical scientists, clinical trials coordinators or researchers, and in laboratory technical roles. The degree can also lead to opportunities in health regulation, education, hospitals and public health, patient advocacy, science communication, and medical marketing and sales, providing a broad foundation for bachelor-level biomedical science careers.
