About the course
This combined degree builds a strong foundation in biological science with a specialised focus on biotechnology. You’ll study plant and biological systems alongside contemporary biotech approaches, while also developing industry-relevant skills in enterprise, commercialisation and intellectual property. The integrated structure is designed to fast-track study across undergraduate and postgraduate levels in biomedical and biotechnology. The programme deepens scientific methodology, data interpretation, and applied research skills for laboratory and field-based careers.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles across biotechnology and life-science industries, including laboratory and R&D environments, bioprocessing and product development, and scientific support in agriculture or environmental biosciences. The commercialisation and IP elements also suit pathways into biotech business development, regulatory and innovation support roles, or further research training in biological science and biotechnology.
