About the course
This double degree develops knowledge and skills for complex practice across psychology-informed and social work contexts. You’ll build capabilities to support individuals, families and communities through evidence-based approaches, with a strong focus on mental health and wellbeing, prevention and intervention, and community services. The honours component includes an independent research project to deepen analytical and research skills in psychology and social work at bachelor/honours level.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for roles across community and human services where behavioural science and social work perspectives are valued, including mental health services, alcohol and other drugs programs, disability and family support, counselling-focused community work, advocacy and policy settings, and service development. Psychology study provides an accredited pathway toward further training required for psychologist registration. This is a bachelor/honours qualification in psychology and social work.
