About the course
This dual program combines the Bachelor of Arts with the Bachelor of Social Science to broaden knowledge of culture, languages and human behaviour while building adaptable skills for a changing workforce. You can choose from a large range of arts majors and study areas, alongside social science perspectives on major societal challenges such as inequality, injustice, health and climate impacts. It is a 4-year bachelor program at UQ. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles that value strong communication, critical thinking and insight into people and society. The dual focus supports careers across government, community and non-profit organisations, policy and social research, advocacy, program coordination, cultural and public sector work, and roles in organisations needing analysis of social issues and human behaviour.
