About the course
Combine broad arts study with advanced legal training in UQ’s dual Arts/Laws (Honours) program. You’ll choose from a wide range of arts disciplines while building high-level legal knowledge, professional networks and transferable skills such as critical thinking, communication and problem-solving. The law component develops strong analytical reasoning and persuasive argument skills, leading to an internationally respected honours qualification in Law at bachelor level. The programme builds legal reasoning, case analysis, and professional ethics for legal practice and public service pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue careers in legal practice after meeting academic requirements for admission as a legal practitioner in Australia, or apply legal and arts expertise across government, policy, diplomacy, media, business, consulting and the not-for-profit sector. The combination of arts breadth and law honours supports roles requiring strong analysis, communication and advocacy, from solicitor or barrister pathways to policy advisor, compliance, corporate governance and public affairs in a bachelor-level Law-focused dual degree.
