About the course
The Bachelor of Arts (History) develops critical thinking, analytical research and communication skills through the study of the past and its impact on societies and cultures. You’ll learn to interpret evidence, evaluate competing perspectives and craft persuasive arguments, with flexibility to tailor your arts study around your interests. This is an undergraduate Arts & Humanities degree. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.
Career outcome
Graduates can apply historical analysis and strong writing and research skills across many sectors, including government and public policy, heritage and museums, archives and libraries, media and publishing, education support, community and social services, and corporate roles such as communications, administration and consultancy. This is a Bachelor-level pathway into Arts & Humanities careers. Preparing graduates for graduate employment, professional traineeships, and further postgraduate study.
