About the course
The Bachelor of Arts (Extended) is a four-year undergraduate degree designed for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students, offering culturally informed academic support while building skills for university study. You will complete foundation and core arts units alongside a chosen major and additional study options. The course can be used to pursue arts careers or as a pathway into other specialised degrees in Arts & Humanities at bachelor level. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue broad arts-related pathways that draw on communication, writing and critical thinking developed through a major and elective study. Depending on units and major choices, career directions may include roles in community and cultural organisations, public service, education support, media and communications, administration, or further study leading to specialised professional degrees.
