About the course
Archaeology at UWA explores more than three million years of human history through global and Australian perspectives. You’ll engage in research-led training and develop skills to investigate, interpret and communicate evidence from past societies. The course builds understanding of cultural heritage and archaeological practice, with learning grounded in contemporary scholarship and field-based approaches for undergraduate study in archaeology. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.
Career outcome
Graduates can apply archaeological and heritage skills across a range of settings, including Aboriginal corporations, government heritage agencies and heritage consulting. Opportunities also extend to museums and cultural institutions, research support roles and further study pathways in archaeology or heritage management. This undergraduate archaeology course prepares you for work involving investigation, documentation and protection of cultural heritage. Preparing graduates for graduate employment, professional traineeships, and further postgraduate study.
