About the course
This honours year extends the Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sport Science) with an intensive, research-focused fourth year. You’ll design and carry out an approved project and produce a supervised thesis, building advanced research, critical analysis and specialist knowledge. The program is delivered face to face at the Camperdown/Darlington campus and is completed full time over one year in Sports Science at bachelor honours level. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates strengthen their prospects for research and specialist roles across sport and exercise settings by demonstrating advanced analytical and thesis-writing capability. The honours year can support pathways into research assistant roles, evidence-based practice in sport performance and health programs, and further postgraduate study (higher degree by research). It is designed as a bachelor honours qualification in Sports Science with strong preparation for research-led careers. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
