About the course

Anthropology explores human diversity across cultures and societies, past and present. You’ll examine how people create meaning, organise relationships and navigate power, belief and environment in different contexts. The major introduces core anthropological theories and the discipline’s history, with topics such as religion and ritual, politics, kinship, land rights, and ecology. This is an undergraduate anthropology major at UWA. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.

Career outcome

Graduates are equipped for professional entry roles in Arts & Humanities and further postgraduate study. Graduates enter industry graduate roles or continue to postgraduate study. Preparing graduates for graduate employment, professional traineeships, and further postgraduate study.
