About the course
Charles Sturt University’s Bachelor of Animal Science develops knowledge and practical skills in animal production, management and welfare across domestic and wildlife species. You’ll study biological sciences, health, behaviour, nutrition, genetics and husbandry, with strong hands-on learning and industry connections. In the final year you can choose electives to match your interests, with an option to undertake an integrated honours project if eligible in animal science at bachelor level.

Graduates can pursue roles across animal-related industries and services, applying skills in production systems, welfare and management. Typical pathways include animal production or conservation consulting, animal welfare officer positions, extension or field officer work, and research support or scientist roles in laboratories and field settings.
