About the course
This honours year deepens your expertise in agricultural innovation while building advanced research skills in plant, soil or animal sciences. You’ll undertake an independent research project with academic or industry supervision and develop capabilities in literature review, experimental design, data analysis and communicating results. Study is supported by access to extensive animal and agricultural facilities at UQ’s Gatton campus. This is a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Agriculture Science.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for research-focused and technical roles across agriculture and related industries, with skills suited to evidence-based problem solving and innovation. Career pathways may include agricultural research assistant or officer, agronomy and farm systems roles, soil/plant/animal science support positions, and roles in government agencies, industry R&D and consultancy. The honours pathway also supports progression to postgraduate research. This is a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Agriculture Science.
