About the course
This double major develops technology-enabled accounting expertise, combining core accounting and auditing with data analytics to strengthen reporting, governance and fraud detection. You’ll use professional software to analyse financial transactions and large datasets, and explore data visualisation, analytics and business valuation. The major also covers taxation, business law and financial management, with industry projects and an immersive final-year placement as part of a Bachelor of Commerce.

Graduates are prepared for careers across accounting, audit and analytics-focused roles where organisations need stronger assurance, compliance and fraud prevention. You can work in public practice, corporate finance teams, government agencies and investigative environments, applying data-driven methods to evaluate risk and improve controls. Typical roles include auditor/audit analyst, chartered accountant, forensic accountant, financial analyst, corporate treasurer, risk manager and systems accountant for a Bachelor of Commerce pathway in accounting and audit analytics.
