About the course
This course builds competence in visual arts through developing ideas, observing and analysing information, and producing artworks across a range of media. It takes an interdisciplinary approach, encouraging you to combine conceptual and technical methods from different sources. You’ll create work in areas such as drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation and performance, in an Associate Degree focused on fine art practice. The programme emphasises applied skills, workplace readiness, and technical competency for industry entry.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue entry-level creative roles and further study pathways in the visual arts. Skills developed may support work as an emerging artist or creative practitioner, and roles assisting in studios, galleries, community arts and cultural organisations. The course also provides a foundation for building a portfolio and progressing into more advanced visual art qualifications, suited to an Associate Degree in fine art and visual arts practice. Preparing graduates for skilled employment, traineeships, and pathways to higher qualifications.
