About the course
This associate degree prepares you for a professional piloting pathway through practical, accredited flight training alongside aviation theory. You’ll build foundational knowledge in flight operations and aviation practice while developing the competencies required to progress toward commercial pilot licensing and related endorsements. Study is delivered on campus at RMIT’s aviation locations and is designed as a full-time, two-year associate degree in aerospace and pilot training. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue aviation roles where piloting knowledge and operational awareness are valued, including progressing toward employment as a commercial pilot after meeting licensing and hours requirements. The course also supports career pathways in airline and airport operations, aviation management and consultancy, and other aviation services that benefit from formal flight training.
